MATERNITY LEAVE We conclude our series on maternity and paternity pay. The final article looks at how employers manage terms and conditions during periods of maternity leave, focusing on employer practice around annual leave, bonuses, pension contributions and keeping-in-touch days.
The economy may well have returned to positive growth in the first quarter of 2011, but there are still nagging concerns that the recovery is not as robust as might be hoped for. In this e-newsletter, we present our latest bi-annual economic outlook. The upshot for employees of the bleak economic outlook is that inflation remains high and pay settlements subdued, leading to a sustained real-terms cut in living standards.
You can also browse details of all the latest pay settlements collected by XpertHR researchers, which includes some of the first April 2011 deals to be concluded.
