LOCATION PAY
Our survey of employers' location pay and allowances finds that the main reason employers use such arrangements is to maintain competitive salaries in local labour markets. While some continue to pay traditional London or other regional allowances, others use market-based pay to help them determine regional pay variations. Our article includes examples of current payments offered by a range of organisations.

XpertHR has just launched its annual benefits and allowances survey, one of its most popular surveys. Please do take part in return for a free report on the latest pay trends and entry into a prize draw.

Finally, if you are still catching up with the recent Budget, listen to the XpertHR weekly podcast for a discussion of some of the main announcements, including the tax-free childcare scheme that the Government is proposing to introduce from autumn 2015.
