HONG KONG EMPLOYMENT LAW GUIDE PUBLISHED
The latest addition to XpertHR International is a guide to employment law in Hong Kong, which marks our first international guide to cover a country outside Europe.
The guide provides a concise overview of the main points of employment law as a first point of reference for practitioners and researchers with an interest in Hong Kong.
Like all of XpertHR's international guides, the Hong Kong guide will be updated monthly to take account of recent and upcoming changes.
Distinctive features of Hong Kong employment law include a lack of a pay-as-you-earn system for income tax, no general statutory limits on daily or weekly working hours, and no automatic transfer of employment on the transfer of an undertaking.
