FLEIXIBLE WORKING BENEFITS AND CHALLENGES
Latest research from XpertHR looks at the issue of flexible working, particularly the level of requests that employers are receiving, what proportion of the workforce is working flexibly, and the benefits and challenges of offering flexible working to employees.
Our good practice guide on measuring labour turnover covers all aspects of measuring the outflow of people from an organisation. It includes the business case for monitoring and managing labour turnover, and outlines the distinction between voluntary and involuntary labour turnover.
We also include a new workflow that guides employers step by step through the legal and practical considerations when an employee has been called out for a period of military service. While the employer cannot refuse to permit the employee to serve, where it believes that the employee's absence would cause "serious harm" to the business, it can apply for a deferral, revocation or exemption in respect of the mobilisation.
