HR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Our 10th annual HR roles and responsibilities survey finds that the HR profession has different priorities dependent on sector. While the private sector is concentrating on consolidating changes and reviewing reward and remuneration packages, the public sector is almost exclusively focused on cutting costs, jobs and services.
The survey also found that HR continues to grow in influence within organisations, with almost 60% of respondents telling us that they believe that the function's influence has grown over the past two years. Meanwhile, having a documented HR strategy in place, developed as an integral part of an organisation's main strategy, has emerged as the key characteristic of an effective HR function.
